Colorado River Lake Havasu, Arizona and Parker Dam August 12, 2003
Parker Dam is the deepest dam on the Colorado River. The water level at Lake Havasu is kept higher than any other dam on the Colorado River because water from the lake is pumped by the Metropolitan Water Co. to Los Angeles, and by the Central Arizona Project to Phoenix and Tucson. A security guard at Parker Dam told me that currently the water level at the two major lakes north of Parker, Lake Powell (Glen Canyon Dam) and Lake Mead (Hoover Dam) are extremely low to keep the water available for LA, Phoenix and Tucson. Lake Powell is currently 85 feet below the normal level and Lake Mead is 60 feet below the normal level. (August 12, 2003)

the London Bridge
The city of Lake Havasu, Arizona purchased the London Bridge from the City of London before it's demolition, and reconstructed it in Lake Havasu.
